The Lakeside Center
'Ionad Cois Locha' translated means lakeside center. Just five minutes walk from the hostel, this multifunctional center will probably have something to suit everyone's tastes. Great for a full family day out or something to do on a rainy day. The centre is also home to the world famous Franky Kennedy music school(December 28th to January 03rd) This music school attracts musicians from all over the world for lessons in the traditional craft. World class concerts during the evenings are not to be missed. Throughout the summer months concerts are also held at the centre at least one to two nights during the week.

New for '08 at the Lakeside Center:
December '07 - construction work has now finished on a new section of the center. A purpose built music venue able to seat hundreds of people. This music venue is expected to draw in some of the top names in the Irish/world music scene. Please check back here soon for the latest news on this event.
